The former publishing house "Samshoblo" is situated in the cultural and historical centre of Tbilisi. The architectural design of the building is highly functional and minimalist that is characteristic of industrial buildings of the period. The limestone exterior of the building is dominated by huge windows on the front facade.
recommended for tourists and locals who admire industrial-chic aesthetics
The building was reopened as the Stamba hotel in 2018. In addition to the main building, it includes a series of outside spaces including a verdant courtyard garden that leads to the hotel’s outdoor amphitheatre. This second structure additionally offers an open working space, designed to support individuals and businesses in the city’s creative industries, reinforcing the hotel’s status as a new hub for local visionaries. The bare concrete walls and imaginatively restored original features make the interior an unique blend of vintage and modern aesthetics.
