Váci Street 1.

Title

Váci Street 1.

Description

It was built in the place of two former houses, as the center of the First Hungarian Savings Bank Association (Első Hazai Takarékpénztár Egyesület). The palace for the bank was designed by the architect Ignác Alpár. The sculpted decoration in the interior and exterior was made by Géza Maróti, the stain glass windows by Miksa Róth. In addition to the bank spaces, there were apartments on the top floor and shops on the groundfloor.
